I was doing a bit of undecking the halls this evening and had to post how the garland was decorated that I put up around my kitchen... because... I have so enjoyed the lights being up and the mood it creates that I am going to leave the garland up all year long and decorate it differently for each season. January is snow (although I guess it really should be rain) which I decorated this evening - stay tuned for the story of the decorations and a picture!
And about being significant - not sure exactly how significant I was today - but I tried to help a friend at lunch with some insight that I was recently helped with... So we'll see what happens tomorrow...

I like the idea of keeping the garland up all year and just decorating it with the seasons!
One year I kept my Christmas tree (it was a faux tree) up after Christmas and decorated it with black and silver balls and silver tinsel and little plastic champagne glasses (you get the picture) for the New Year. Then when Valentine's Day rolled around I decorated it in hearts and red and white lights.
After the V-Day decorations I was tired of the tree altogether! But if I had done what YOU are going to do, I think I could have decorated all YEAR!
Looking forward to seeing your decorations change through 2011!
Happy New Year Elizabeth.
Me likey the garland, now I realize that it is the other decorations that I need to see the picture of. This is what happens when someone (ahem, me) reads your posts in reverse!
